Cristiano Ronaldo remains upbeat despite not having his usual quota of goals for this stage of the season and issued a positive message with a smiling photo on Instagram.

The Portuguese had an unusual start to the campaign as he was suspended for five games following his dismissal in the Supercopa de Espana and since then he may not be playing badly but has struggled to hit the back of the net for Real Madrid including against Las Palmas last weekend.

`This is how I live life, smiling and positive` was the message accompanying his photo on Instagram that was taken during training on Wednesday.

Ronaldo only has one goal so far in LaLiga and looked a desperate figure at times against Las Palmas as he tried to add to his tally.
